ESCULTURA, UMA DAS LINGUAGENS MAIS ANTIGAS DA ARTE, FEITAS COM CORRENTES DE BICICLETAS

Korean artist Yeong-Deok Seo creates imposing figurative sculptures using tightly knit configurations of welded bicycle chains and industrial steel chains. While impressive in their intricacy and the apparent skill required to create them, the artwork’s titles such as Infection – Anguish, Infection – Ego, and Addict, suggest the rippled surface created by the materials is not an arbitrary decision. ESCULTURA HOJE E A POSSIBILIDADE DE EXTREMO REALISMO

Com um programa 3D de computação gráfica, cientistas reconstituíram o rosto da garota e depois fizeram um manequim que está exposto no Museu Nacional de Arqueologia, em Atenas. Os arqueólogos avaliaram que o rosto foi reproduzido com 95% de fidelidade graças à integridade do crânio e da arcada que ainda tinha dentes de leite. O crânio de Myrtis, como foi chamada, foi encontrado em uma vala coletiva da capital grega, descoberta durante escavações do metrô em 1995.
